Kansas City Shows
I go to concerts when the artist is worth the time and money. I write when the show needs more than just the memory. Most shows don't get written up here. Being selective keeps me from falling back into the overconsumption patterns that messed up my relationship with music before.
KC has venues worth supporting: The Truman, Uptown Theater, Starlight Theatre, plus smaller rooms where great music happens. When something special goes down, I document it.
Concert T-Shirt Bingo
My partner Aimee and I created a simple concept: turn waiting-for-the-show people-watching into a game. You're at a Pantera concert, spot someone wearing a Metallica shirt, mark it off your bingo card.
I'm building this into an actual app. Enter the band you're seeing, get a generated bingo card of likely t-shirts other concert-goers will be wearing. Development updates and beta testing happen here.
What This Isn't
No star ratings. No comprehensive photo galleries. No band promotion. No social media cross-posting. No weekly update schedule. No attempt to be a music journalism outlet.
